Week 21
How far along: 21 weeks, 5 days
Size of Baby S: 10.5 in, 12 oz
Fruit/vegetable comparison (according to Baby Center): Carrot
Total weight gain: 6 lbs
Sleep: Decent. We've been staying up later than usual this week, but made up for it on Saturday when we slept in until double digits on the clock... :-/
Movement: Nothing yet and I'm starting to get worried. I plan to talk to the midwife about it at my appointment this week.
Unglamorous body changes: Nothing unglamorous, just starting to get a little bigger every day!
Maternity Clothes? Maternity jeans and I'm down to one pair of work pants that I can use with the belly band so I expect I will be into the maternity pants completely this week!
Showing: Yes! And I only received three comments this week about my size. :-)
Food cravings: Fruit and spicy cinnamon anything - I've been loving my orbit cinnamon gum and 3 lb bag of hot tamales daily.
What I miss: Cereal of course. But I did here that there is a store in Aberdeen with American cereals at a bargain price of $10-15 a box. I might have to cave and buy something...
Anything making you queasy: Nope.
Strange experiences: The surrealism of realizing we are having a baby. It seemed even more evident this week when we went to go look at strollers and I practiced pushing them around the store thinking that in just a few months there is going to be a little Stingerie girl in one of those strollers!
Milestones: Baby Girl's flutterings that I hopefully just cannot recognize should soon turn into martial arts kicks that I can hopefully start recognizing. She has eyebrows now and is continuing to develop her reproductive organs.
Also, I started going to the chiropractor and massage therapist for routine maintenance and prevention (I am not having any pains, but it's all covered under insurance and will help prevent future pain by staying healthy and active. Oh and apparently my pelvis is tilted to the right so the chiro is going to work on fixing that. :-) )
Best moment this week: Finalizing my baby shower invite list for the amazing ladies that are planning my shower in Houston. Shopping for baby strollers and working on the registry. I also started making a list of crafts and sewing projects that I want to make for Baby Girl. (Thank you Pinterest for so many good ideas and tutorials!)
Looking forward to: Our doctor appointment this week!
