Week 22
You might notice that my picture this week is not the usual navy blue stripes and blackboard photo. That's because this weekend Jason and I parted ways. He spent a wonderful long weekend in Sweden with some of the guys (guest post to come by Jason himself!) and I hopped over to Aberdeen to visit some girlfriends (post to come!)
How far along: 22 weeks, 5 days
Size of Baby S: 11 in, almost a pound
Fruit/vegetable comparison (according to Baby Center): Spaghetti squash
Total weight gain: Not sure, but considering I ate a lot of fried food and junk food in Aberdeen I believe my growth spurt will show on the scale
Sleep: Not bad considering I was traveling :-)
Movement: Maybe! There were a couple of times that I thought it could have been movement, but I'm still not positive
Unglamorous body changes: Nothing comes to mind.
Maternity Clothes? Jeans still and I will definitely be in the maternity dress pants this week. Most of my dresses are still fitting fine, but a few have been retired recently. And no maternity tops yet.
Showing: Yes! My friends definitely noticed my bump and it was more obvious this weekend. I think maybe I went through a growth spurt.
Food cravings: Nothing now. :-)
What I miss: Nothing. I did indulge in the airplane sandwich with cold deli meat. It was delicious. I like to live on the edge. Don't tell Jason!
Anything making you queasy: Nope.
Strange experiences: I went jogging this week with my friend Megan and despite going to the bathroom before we started running and once during the run, every time we started jogging I kept feeling like I had to pee. I think Baby Girl was kicking my bladder! Or perhaps she didn't appreciate me enjoying the Stavanger trampolines on our run...
Milestones: She's getting tiny tooth buds and very distinct lips, eyelids, and eyebrows.
Best moment this week: Having my friends see my bump and ask me questions about Baby Girl! Also, my friends Alicia and Charlotte picking me up some good ol' American junk food (Lucky Charms and Betty Crocker icing!)
Looking forward to: Seeing Jason tomorrow and having him see my bump growth! Also going to the chiro and massage therapist this week as my back's been hurting a little more recently.
